As the brand has evolved into the European market, we have partnered with trusted print specialists across Europe to produce our fabrics and wallpapers, with a strong emphasis on quality, sustainability, and responsible production. Our silk scarves are crafted in collaboration with expert silk producers, ensuring a luxurious finish and exceptional attention to detail.
While our current collections are centred around textiles and wearable pieces, our wider product range, including tableware and home accessories, remains available through our valued production partners in South Africa: DSA Linen and Robin Sprong Wallpaper.
Robyn Valerie was originally founded in 2022, beginning with a small collection of handmade homeware and accessories. What started as a passion for pattern and print has since grown into a focused textile brand, dedicated to creating elegant, versatile designs that live beautifully across both fashion and interiors.
About the Artist
Robyn Valerie is founded and led by designer Robyn Schumacher, a self-taught surface pattern artist with a deep appreciation for history, craftsmanship, and classic design.
Originally from South Africa, Robyn discovered her passion for pattern design in 2021, beginning with hand-drawn repeats and gradually developing her skills into a full-time creative pursuit. What started as a curiosity quickly evolved into a dedicated pursuit of building a brand rooted in artistry and thoughtful design.
Her work is strongly influenced by historical design movements, particularly the Arts and Crafts movement, and draws inspiration from European culture, classical ornamentation, and the romantic elegance of past centuries. These influences are reflected in her signature style – refined, decorative, and distinctly timeless.
Now based in Lausanne, Robyn is inspired by her new surroundings, from the serenity of the lake to the dramatic alpine landscapes. This new chapter marks an exciting expansion into the European and international market, with future collections shaped by these evolving influences.
At the heart of her work is a simple intention: to create pieces that bring beauty into everyday life that are considered, elegant, and made to last.
